re: For the Mathematicians

Ok so I wanted to test out the damage difference between special upgrades for 2h weapons so I want others to see my results and tell me if it's reliable.
Ok I used 1h swords to test it out and using a combination of enchants and superior weapons, I simulated the damage of 5 step special upgrades.
A 5 step special red upgrade gives +50 crit damage and a blue gives +39 max damage.
So I used smash a dozen or so times to find the highest damage output when my max damage was 320 and 356 on mongooses outside quilla base.
So my data is not 100% accurate since I am missing 3 max damage and I am also assuming we critical slightly higher than usual (1/3 of the time so its 33.33% rather than 30%). So keep these in mind when you see the results.
Ok at 320 max damage my highest damage was 1599 and let us pretend this is a 5 step red upgraded weapon.
1599 x 7= 11193 To simulate 7 non-critical hits
1599 x 3= 4797 x 3=14391
The first multiplication by 3 is for the critical damage multiplier, our normal multiplier is x2.5 so after the upgrade stones its x3 and the second multiplication by 3 is the # of critical hits we do on average.
Therefore my damage with 10 smashes with a 5 step red upgraded stone is 11193+14391=25584.
Now for my damage with 356 max damage, my highest damage output is 1779.
1779 x 7= 12453
1779 x 2.5= 4447.5 x 3= 13342.5
Therefore my damage with 10 smashes with a 5 step blue upgraded stone is 12453 + 13342.5=25795.5
25584 vs 25795.5
From my calculations it is better to upgrade a 2h weapon with blue upgrade stones, so did I do anything wrong? Please leave me your feedback.
