I mailed you a few stacks of silver ingots and a crap ton of gold ingots for rank 2. Send back anything you don't use.
To get to rank 1, given your dexterity, you're going to need a silver fox suit, 5 star vales fire (note Veda about making you some), use experienced death title, and use the old furnaces in either vales or filia. You'll still have a hard time failing at mithril ingots. Good luck.
I know thy future pain, for I myself am stuck at rank 2 due to being unable to fail refining mithril ore. 99% success no matter what.

i got a scarcrow set with a silver fox helm and it brings my dex down to 20 with the title and i get a 50-60% chance with mythrl X-x

Er, wasn't your dex around 190 or so? I might have overestimated xD....
Well, whatever the case, at least you won't get stuck like I am. :P

ha ha hey kirno I went from rC refining to r4 in one day and worked wit 215base dex(not to mention like millions of gold wasted)....seriously got uber lucky...gl wit your refining.

god dang it I had like tons of silver that I refined but sold cheap....>< yea I know you don't want to hear that but hit me up just incase...cause we're on the same boat.
