i look at it simply like this, mage/archer =dk. melee= pally

If you're not a mage, just use the immense amount of MP for Mana Shield :P
...and yeah, if you're going to be a DK, don't get hit
...just parry, dodge, graze, or block...or use a pally as a meatshield <- suggested
[With their defense, they won't take much dmg anyways...unless its from adv mag.]

So yeah if you're going to become a DK:
If you're a warrior: Enough skills to not get hit ._. Fire-Counter/ Ice-Counter <-suggested
Get a good dmg WM and some other skills just in case you get multied
If you're an archer: AR. 'nuff said. Use mana for MS since multi = bad
If you're a mage: . . . Just keep on ISing or get a chaincast+4 fire wand

Yay...how do you graze so much on easy mode ._.

I am Champion and I don't see reason to be a DK, rather than have stats roll I can still beat them in pvp. If u need to decide witch one to be consult your skills and figure witch would fit better when you transform. Many people chose what side to join judging by there looks, not by its potential. I don't have nothing against dk, but the fact of the matter is there are situations where its better to be a pally and sometimes dk, each side have there own up and downs.

My advise, stay pally for some time and compare yourself with dk friends and see if there is a big difference and decide from there.

depends on your fighting style and preferences towards story (if any). i would say go with story most of all because that's what's most important to me, but for you idk.

if you are a brute and you just hit crap blindly with melee, stick with pally for the extra defense. you should also be pally if you like higher defense for other reasons. you also get a lot of stam, more so than dk's i believe.

if you are an archer or mage, then dk might be better due to the possible increased stats. you also get more hp than pallies, but your defense is much lower compared to pallies.

there are other factors as well, but you should know them all. since you are near 900 already, you should already know all about this. not sure why you asking this confused

i'm also pally for 4 reasons.
1) i like being good guy
2) i like how pallies look over dk's (except chaos perhaps) but i end up modding it all anyways, but still
3) i like the light storyline for the exact reason as #1
4) i'm (was) famous for being one of the first batch of pallies

btw, sword of order sucks - stick with eye for the dex. getting several additional pts for min and max compared to a huge boost in dex isn't worth it
